Very first blog entry
Or how I built this site

Jeah I know – the title of this first entry is totally exciting and highly promising action as in Jim Jarmusch movies. But hey: at one point one must start. And to be honest: this digital playground is based on wordpress, and you can imagine it: I never used wordpress until now. This time I didn’t even looked for tutorials, I took the building of this site as a challenge to figure out how wordpress works. I mean as long as one mustn’t code how difficult can be?? Consequently, I invested a great amount of experimentation into this, one of mine most treasured habits, and for that I needed content. And there you have it: I had to generate at least one post under the blog category, actually two in order to be able to evaluate which design direction to take. Accordingly, I decided to make a very first blog entry about how I built this site.
And that was pretty easy. After trying some templates, Unfold was one of them, I landed by combination of OceanWP template with Elementor page builder. Unfold was a really cool template but being forced to work the most time in backend was nothing for me. I like to see what I am doing, so I searched for frontend page builder and came to Elementor. Already the free version was very usable, but going pro for 40 bucks, which included all updates in next year – that’s really more than fair. And the best of: exactly 2 weeks after I bought it they brought next big update: Elementor 2.0. Now you can edit everything in wordpress with Elementor, even single posts, search page etc.
