I was using Blender 3D for about 1 year, and so far I really liked what this open source software can do in the 3D realm. Then I thought lets see if I could go even further, meaning if I could use a 3d package for “pure” graphic design. As it turnes out: I can, and this even very good. After playing around for a while I developed a method so I can make a very nice UI design even faster than traditionally with photoshop or illustrator. But not only that: I discovered I even have much more control over colors, gradients, subtle shadows etc. in Blender compared to photoshop for example. Not to mention going for animation: no exports of assets anymore, importing into after effects and getting lost in millions of sub-compositions etc. Yes, as it seems, Blender is going to be a tool which rules it all. Enjoy.
